Pumpkin time!

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
-George Eliot

The Sunny Sisters LOVE autumn and all that it entails. From Sooner football to cooler weather to festive holidays. We take joy in all things fall.

We are making Halloween costumes and crocheting up some fun goodies! A Curious George hat is in the works, can't wait to show it off! Here's a peek at one of our pumpkin pixie bonnets that we just love love love! I only we had a newborn to put it on!

What are your current fall-y projects? Do you make your little one's Halloween costumes?

Have a Sunny day!

Gluten Free Baked Egg Breakfast

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day!

The Sunny Sisters have decided to lay off of gluten for various and sundry reasons. We keep hearing that low carb can make you feel better, so we decided to take a ride on the gluten free train and see what happens.

Today the Sunny Sisters Lunch Club met at Valoree's house for breakfast. We made a baked egg dish in ramekins, inspired from different recipes off of Pinterest. We made these for breakfast, but really they'd be great for any meal.

We don't have an exact recipe, but this dish lends itself to lots of interesting combinations, so use your imaginations (and your leftovers) and get creative!

Here's a rough outline of what we used:

Butter a ramekin, put in your desired amount of eggs (we did 2 each), then add your toppings (we did bacon, Parmesan, shredded cheddar, salt, pepper and dried parsley). Cook in a preheated oven for around 15 minutes (Rachel says a little longer because she likes her egg white cooked well). Note: the yolks will be runny too, yum!!

Have a Sunny day!
